On the doorstep of the beautiful National Trust Penrose Estate, we provide safe, traffic free cycle hire around this stunning location, one of the most scenic cycle routes in West Cornwall, running from Helston to Loe Bar. This superb location also provides excellent access to the picturesque harbour town of Porthleven with its many cafes, pubs and restaurants. The Lizard Peninsula is also accessible where there are many more stunning cycle routes to explore.

4 months agoAs part of my solo camping trip in Cornwall I rented a bike from Lakeside Cycles, to explore the beautiful area by bike. Lakeside cycles have a good range of bikes, at a range of different prices to suit individual preferences. They have a couple of mapped out routes that you can choose to follow, which enable you to cycle through some absolutely stunning scenery, mostly on cycle/ foot paths and bridle ways, which makes it safe for all ages. The staff were very friendly and I received very good customer service. Thank you so much, my bike expedition, really added to my overall Cornwall trip.

5 months agoBrilliant service from Shawn, 100% recommend. Gravel bike was very well maintained, very comfortable and enough gears for this Lincolnshire lad to get up the hills! Bike came with spare inner tube, pump and multi tool. Loved the ride!

a year agoGreat bike hire, perfect for cycling to see Loe Bar which is absolutely breathtaking. Helpful, friendly staff who took the time to ensure we had had a good time, explained the routes and made sure we had every thing we needed. The bikes are very well maintained as are the helmets and other accessories. I had a Cannondale and my wife and child both had Raleigh's. A great experience. Would highly recommend Lakeside Cycles

a year agoWe decided to try electric bikes. Renting one bike cost 50 pounds, so we got two for two people. When you rent a bike, you get it for the whole day. The helmet is included in the cost. The man who gave us the bikes was super nice and explained to us in a big detail how to use this type of bike since it was the first time for us. We had a lot of fun riding them. It was worth every penny, and I definitely advise on trying them yourselves!

5 months agoWe had a great bike ride on really good quality bikes from Lakeside cycles. The bikes were in great condition, were comfortable and had bottle racks, pumps, locks and repair kit. The trail was really varied, interesting and beautiful. We had lunch in porthleven and particularly enjoyed riding in the woods. We also thought it was great value at about £25 a bike for the day. Would definitely recommend!
