Lakeside Cycles is a cycle hire and cycle servicing and repair business located at the Coronation Park Boating Lake in Helston, West Cornwall. On the doorstep of the beautiful National Trust Penrose Estate, we provide safe, traffic free cycle hire around this stunning location, one of the most scenic cycle routes in West Cornwall, running from Helston to Loe Bar. This superb location also provides excellent access to the picturesque harbour town of Porthleven with its many cafes, pubs and restaurants. The Lizard Peninsula is also accessible where there are many more stunning cycle routes to explore.
Our workshop facility provides high quality cycle servicing and repairs by our fully qualified professional cycle mechanic. 8 months agoGreat bike hire, perfect for cycling to see Loe Bar which is absolutely breathtaking. Helpful, friendly staff who took the time to ensure we had had a good time, explained the routes and made sure we had every thing we needed. The bikes are very well maintained as are the helmets and other accessories. I had a Cannondale and my wife and child both had Raleigh's. A great experience. Would highly recommend Lakeside Cycles

9 months agoWe decided to try electric bikes. Renting one bike cost 50 pounds, so we got two for two people. When you rent a bike, you get it for the whole day. The helmet is included in the cost. The man who gave us the bikes was super nice and explained to us in a big detail how to use this type of bike since it was the first time for us. We had a lot of fun riding them. It was worth every penny, and I definitely advise on trying them yourselves!

8 months agoGood range of bikes from kids to experienced riders, I went for a Gravel bike, as I'd wanted to try one for a while. The hire process was straightforward and hassle free, the bike was well maintained, and all equipment was provided if you needed it. The guys were knowledgeable and really helpful, stress free from start to finish, highly recommended!!!

3 weeks agoVery friendly, proactive, helpful and supportive. I found this cycle store/service/cycle hire when I had been turned away from a larger local shop in the area, when I asked them whether they could fit me in for a very simple, quick procedure. Shawn, of Lakeside Cycles was very helpful and asked me to bring my bike round asap. He fixed the problem and texted me back within an hour. I hope the other shop sees this and realises that customer care is paramount and so is flexibility and willingness to help. I will be back with my bikes to see Shawn. What a great attitude he has! Well done to him!

9 months agoShawn was very helpful today, providing us with some ideal bikes to explore the Penrose estate and beyond, plus great advice about extending our route. Handy, central location in the park by the lake at the start of the trail! Couldn’t have enjoyed a better day!
