Sarah Kenny relocated from London to Bristol in the mid-1980s with her husband, Tony Kenny. They were looking for a home to rent but the minefield of letting agents pushing a multitude of properties that didn’t meet their brief resulted in a time-consuming and frustrating experience.
There was a clear need for a bespoke lettings agency in Bristol that would specialise in matching quality apartments and houses with individuals, couples and families who preferred to work with an agency who immediately understood their requirement, accurately filtered suitable properties and provided a personal, intuitive service that made the potentially stressful business of moving, pleasurable and calm.
In 1990, Sarah Kenny Residential Lettings was launched, with the first office being located in Sarah’s spare bedroom! Eight months later and with eight managed properties, Sarah teamed up with fellow director Peter Allen and they moved into a Clifton-based office.
Fast forward thirty years and the business is still thriving. With a professional background in HR, Sarah has always prioritised the happiness and well-being of her team members who she firmly believes are the heart of the business. Having a healthy work-life balance where every member of the team feels valued and appreciated is reflected in the calibre of service provided to our clients.
As a team, we all take pride in the quality of our work and our clients can see that we work hard and care about what we do. We are all incredibly proud of the reputation we have built together and the outstanding feedback that we regularly receive from our clients.

a month agoWe have been renting through Sarah Kenny with Hayley as our agent for the past 12 months, and she has been absolutely wonderful to work with. No issue has ever been too big or too small—everything has always been dealt with promptly, professionally, and with genuine care. Having recently relocated from Australia, we hadn’t rented a property in over 20 years, so we were naturally a bit apprehensive about the whole process. Hayley made everything feel easy and reassuring right from the start. She has consistently gone above and beyond to support us and ensure our tenancy has been smooth and stress-free. 3 months agoI’ve recently moved into a property managed by the Sarah Kenny team, and so far the experience has been really great! They’re super responsive and have been from the first flat viewing. We’ve had a couple of small issues with the property and they have been able to get out a plumber the following day and the issue has been fixed within a week of the first occurrence! Overall, a super positive start and the team in general are just really lovely:-)

2 months agoI've had a really positive experience with Sarah Kenny. I recently moved into a one bed flat and their communication throughout the whole process has been excellent. The small issues from when I first moved in where addressed and resolved very quickly and every member of staff I've spoken to has been warm, helpful and accommodating.

4 months agoI dealt with all of the Bristol letting agents during my ~7mo search for a place to rent, and Sarah Kenny was the best by quite some distance. The staff are friendly, professional, patient and helpful. Their communication was great overall and the whole operation seemed very well organised. It genuinely makes a big difference, some agents are as fun as pulling teeth out, I eventually refused to even view some properties purely because of who it was listed with. By the end of my search I was almost exclusively looking through SK. I would highly recommend them.
