Sarah Kenny relocated from London to Bristol in the mid-1980s with her husband, Tony Kenny. They were looking for a home to rent but the minefield of letting agents pushing a multitude of properties that didn’t meet their brief resulted in a time-consuming and frustrating experience.
There was a clear need for a bespoke lettings agency in Bristol that would specialise in matching quality apartments and houses with individuals, couples and families who preferred to work with an agency who immediately understood their requirement, accurately filtered suitable properties and provided a personal, intuitive service that made the potentially stressful business of moving, pleasurable and calm.
In 1990, Sarah Kenny Residential Lettings was launched, with the first office being located in Sarah’s spare bedroom! Eight months later and with eight managed properties, Sarah teamed up with fellow director Peter Allen and they moved into a Clifton-based office.
Fast forward thirty years and the business is still thriving. With a professional background in HR, Sarah has always prioritised the happiness and well-being of her team members who she firmly believes are the heart of the business. Having a healthy work-life balance where every member of the team feels valued and appreciated is reflected in the calibre of service provided to our clients.
As a team, we all take pride in the quality of our work and our clients can see that we work hard and care about what we do. We are all incredibly proud of the reputation we have built together and the outstanding feedback that we regularly receive from our clients.

2 months agoWe have used Sarah Kenny to rent and manage our flat in Clifton for nearly twenty years. They have been absolutely superb in their professionalism and expertise. They have never failed to find a tenant, they keep the rent prices highly competitive and ensure that we are getting the most value for our rental. Any time an issue came up, they handled it swiftly and competently. We lived quite far from the flat so we had to rely on them for many things and they always came through. Even once it came time to sell the flat, they continued to help us wrap up loose ends even after they were no longer collecting a management fee. 3 weeks agoI would genuinely recommend Sarah Kenny as a letting agents. We’ve had terrible experiences before (particularly with Haart Lettings) but I have nothing but good things to say about Sarah Kenny. They were friendly and helpful at every stage of the letting process. We were able to let somewhere where we could have our cat which is not an easy thing. When we moved in we received a card welcoming us to our new home, a small but kind gesture. Any issues we had during the tenancy, and we did have a few (none their fault), were dealt with quickly. And most important of all, they were happy for us to end our tenancy early due to some difficult personal circumstances. We did have a bit of back and forwards over a small part of our deposit but we came to a fair agreement and I feel like they were advocating for both tenant and landlord, without favouring one over the other.

We viewed a lot of houses and flats with different letting agencies and Sarah Kenny’s properties were consistently good quality. They helped us secure a lovely flat which we are really enjoying.
